At a ceremony held at the University Library, ISITA formally introduced Islamic Africa, a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed, academic journal published electronically by the Northwestern University Press, with seed funding generously provided by the Andrew Mellon Foundation.  Attending were University Librarian Sarah M. Pritchard, Acting Director of the University Press Mr. David Bishop, and editors and staff at the Press, ISITA staff members, university administrators, faculty, and graduate students.
